Al-Fātiḥah means 'the Opening' as it opens the Qur'ān. It is the entrance for the Qur'ān and your ṣalāh; and your entry for attaining closeness to your Lord. Narrated by al-Bukhaari (738) and Muslim (396). An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The words "Whoever recites the Essence of the Book (i.e., al-Faatihah), that will suffice him, but whoever does more than that, that is better" indicate that it is obligatory to recite al-Faatihah and that the prayer is not valid without it.

Al-Fatihah is the most important surah that we must to recite it fluently because we read it in shalah.
Surah Al-Fatiha is narrated in the Hadith to have been divided into two halves between God and His servant (the person reciting), the first three verses being His half and last three being the servant's.

One of them said, Yes, by Allah. I will perform ruqyah for him, but by Allah we asked you for hospitality and you did not give us anything, so we will not perform ruqyah for you unless you give us something in return. So they agreed on a flock of sheep, then he started to blow on him and recite Al-hamdu Lillahi Rabb il-'Alamin.

Surah Fatiha (فاتِحَة) otherwise known as Fatihat al-Kitab (فاتِحةُ الکِتاب) meaning the opening of the book is the first surah in the Noble Quran. This surah has seven verses with the Bismillah being counted as the first verse. It is incumbent on all Muslims to memorize this surah as they must recite it in their prayers.
